LEGAL
The rules of the deal, written so you can actually read them. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you sign — we'd rather explain it twice than argue about it later.

These terms apply between WFT — Websites for Tradies ("WFT", "we", "us") and you, the client. They apply from the moment you accept a quote or make a payment, whichever happens first.
Your written quote is part of these terms. Where the quote and this page disagree, the quote wins — it describes your specific build.
The WFT tradie website package is a done-for-you website of five or more pages, built specifically for a New Zealand trade business. Unless your quote says otherwise, it includes:
We build websites for trade businesses operating in New Zealand. We don't take on work outside that.
The standard price is NZ$1,997, a one-time flat fee. Founding clients — the first ten businesses we build for — pay NZ$1,697.
The price on your quote is the price you pay. We don't issue surprise invoices, and we don't charge for scope that was agreed at kickoff. If you ask for work beyond what was agreed, we'll quote it separately and you can say no.
Payment terms — including any deposit and when the balance falls due — are set out in your written quote and confirmed before we start work.
All prices are in New Zealand dollars.
The build only runs to seven days because your input is small and specific. To hold up your end you need to:
If you supply material you don't own the rights to, that's on you, and you agree to cover us for any claim that results.
Your website will be live within 7 working days of your kickoff call. If we miss that deadline without giving you at least 48 hours' notice, we credit NZ$200 against your invoice.
The clock runs on working days, excluding weekends and New Zealand public holidays. It pauses while we're waiting on you — if we're waiting on your photos or your copy approval, those days don't count against us. That's the only fair way to run a fixed timeline.
If your website doesn't generate at least one genuine job enquiry within 90 days of going live, we rebuild it from scratch free of charge and keep working until it does.
A "genuine job enquiry" means a real prospective customer contacting you about work through your website — a form submission, a tracked phone call, or an email from the site. Spam, bots, sales pitches and enquiries from people you already know don't count.
The guarantee applies where all of the following are true:
The remedy under this guarantee is a free rebuild and continued work — it is not a cash refund.
The Get Found Plan is our ongoing service at NZ$249/month. It covers hosting, SSL, backups and security, monthly Google Business Profile management, ongoing local SEO, review generation, monthly reporting, and small site updates.
Your first month is included in the build price, and the plan starts from day 30. There is no lock-in contract — you can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice, and we won't make it awkward.
If you cancel, you keep the website and the domain. You will need to arrange hosting elsewhere, and we will hand over your files to do it.
If you cancel, your Jobs In 90 Guarantee ends with it, for the reason given in section 6.
Once your invoice is paid in full:
We keep ownership of the underlying tools, templates and systems we use to build sites — those aren't part of what you're buying. We'd also like to show your site in our portfolio and use it as an example of our work; tell us if you'd rather we didn't, and we won't.
Unless you ask us to remove it, we include a small "Website by WFT" credit in your site footer.
Your site relies on services we don't control — domain registrars, hosting providers, Google, and form processors. We choose reputable ones, but we're not responsible for their outages, price changes or policy decisions. If Google changes how ranking works, that's not a breach of these terms.
We do this work properly and we stand behind it, which is why the guarantees above exist. Beyond those guarantees, our total liability for any claim relating to your build is limited to the amount you paid us.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profits, lost business opportunities, or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply to you.
If you cancel after we've started, you pay for the work completed to that point. If we cancel — which we'd only do in unusual circumstances — we refund anything you've paid for work not yet done.
We may update these terms for future clients. The version that applies to you is the one in force when you accepted your quote. We won't change the deal on you mid-build.
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before anyone goes near a court, we'll talk it through in good faith — that resolves almost everything.
